A lot of the people and bands that you knew and loved at the quake are still out there - making music, DJing, or like everyone else in San Francisco, collecting unemployment after their dot.com dreams collapsed. Here are links the the ones that I know about. If you know of any more, feel free to <a href="contact'>mailto:edgore@shinra.com">contact me.

Station Folks

Tim Bedore
As you may remember back in the 80's in addition to DJing on The Quake Tim Bedore was also a comedian. Well, guess what...he still is. You can hear him occasionally on NPR's Marketplace, and he has a website at www.vaguebuttrue.com.
Alex Bennet
Alex has moved up in the world recently - way up, like into geo-synchronous orbit. He's doing a show on Sirius satellite radio, channel 143. Looks like it's liberal talk radio. After hearing the disaster that is Air America, I can't wait to hear Alex - a smart liberal who's also funny. Here's a <a href="link'>http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/CachedPage&c=ChannelAsset&cid=996089496790">link to the channel's page, and from there you can listen to 1/2 hour snatches of the station even if you don't have Sirius. I would also like to point out that Sirius went after Alex before it went after Howard Stern.
Rob Francis
Way back in '84-86 I used to work with Rob, not only at the Quake, but also for the mobile sound and light show that would do dances around the bay area. One of the nicest guys in the world. It's great to know that it's still going on at www.thequake.com
Oz Medina
Oz is currently working for <a href="KCUV'>http://www.kcuvradio.com/">KCUV 102.3 in Denver, Colorado.
Rick Stuart
Rick has a homepage up that talks about what he's doing these days (working at KFOG). He even mentions me! Check it out at homepage.mac.com/rickstuart/
Paul Wells (The Lobster)
Paul is the President and CEO of Flow Communication these days, an advertising and audio production company in San Francisco. Check out everything they do at www.flowstream.com.

Bands and Artists

Pop-o-Pies
I'm pleased to discover that Joe Pop-o-Pie is still around. You might remember the song "The Catholics Are Attacking" or his long punk version of "Truckin'" both of which were played on the Quake. You can find out what he's up to these days, and pick up a CD that has almost all of his material (nothing off the first album, dammit...) at his website.
Robert Seidler
Robert Seidler has re-released 1984's "Christian Boy" on CD, and is playing shows! Check out www.robertseidler.com for details, MP3s, and video.
Voice Farm
Voice Farm, while not really working under that name any more, is still very active. They have been doing a lot of commercial work, which you have probably heard and never knew who it was. If anyone has a URL for them, or even just Charlie Brown, let me know - www.voicefarm.com seems to be gone now.
