Air Checks
These are actual recordings of KQAK broadcasts. If you have any old tapes of KQAK, or maybe you worked there and you have some tapes in your protfolio, if you would like to make them available to others, please <a href="contact'>mailto:edgore@shinra.com">contact me.
1 Hour Aircheck (57MB) - Thanks to Pearce Turpin for providing this. He says:

A few comments on the content: I went to the concert, I saw the movie, I even had one of those stupid bikes they talk about in the Matthew's commercial. I was living near Dolores Park at the time in a flat with 3 female roommates and was a regular at the I-Beam and the Oasis. Those were some fun times. I hope you, and everyone else, enjoys the 'flashback' as much as I do.

Mike (Mister) Koste, former DJ and Head Engineer for the Quake has provided me a whole mess of stuff from his KQAK archives! Thanks Mister Koste!

Station IDs
One of the things that the Quake was famous for was it's station IDs, which ranged from celebrity IDs to just really weird audio things that were thrown together by the engineers (like Mike "Mr." Koste) in their spare time. They were so popular at the time that people would intentionally record them to use in party mix-tapes, or while DJing. Here are a few that have turned up on the web, in MP3 format. If you know of any more, feel free to <a href="contact'>mailto:edgore@shinra.com">contact me.
