LOVE the packaging.

I've heard good things about Venture Brothers but I've never seen it. Is this required reading?

I am going to guess based on your capitalization of "LOVE" that you know exactly what makes me so happy about these, and that it has nothing to do with their content.

Now, regarding the content, I have, in the past, called many, many shows "the greatest ever". The Venture Brothers, however, is undeniably the greatest show ever. It is a perfect storm of nostalgia parody, obscure 80s music references and meta-commentary on the hero/villain oeuvre. Also, it has Doctor Girlfriend, who alone is worth the price of admission. Make sure you watch from Season One on, there is a great arc to the series that should must be savored slowly and in order.

Yes. It is an immediate flashback to the absolute joy one had on the ride back from the store while you gazed with wonder at the artwork on the box of a freshly acquired Atari cartridge.

The box art made the games look like they were going to be absolutely AWESOME. Of course, when you got home the 128x64 pixel graphics sucked goats--but what do you expect with 4K of ROM , no frame buffer, and a sub-1Mhz 6502 processor?

I would love to do a start-up that makes 3D games based on atari 2600 classics but where the game visuals attempt to capture the look of the packaging instead of the original game.
