I saw Wesley Clark last week on the Daily Show. True, it's a fake news show, but I typicially find that Jon Stewart's interviews result in me learning a great deal about the person being interviewed.
In this particular case I learned that Wesley Clark is dull, condescending, and apparently thinks that he is running for School Board, not President. All he did was talk about children he has met, and about schools.
Now, I am very big on education - I think it's shameful the way that our schools are being underfunded while taxes are cut and we blow money on military adventures of dubious value and legitimacy.
At the same time though, I would hope that a presidential candiate on a show for 15 minutes would talk about SOMETHING substantive. Clark not only failed to do this, he came off as pretty smarmy.
On the positive side, I did not cringe whenever he smiled. But that isn't moving me over from the Dean camp.
